The Yale Program on Climate Change Communication and Covering Climate Now hosted a one-hour webinar on how journalists can use the Yale Climate Opinion Maps. This webinar helped journalists identify story ideas and deepen reporting that contributes to The 89 Percent Project.

Dr. Jennifer Marlon introduced the online, interactive Climate Opinion Maps tool and explained how it can support climate journalism. Tracy Wholf of CBS News and Chase Cain of NBC News talked about how they have used YCOM in their reporting, and Mark Hertsgaard, journalist and co-founder/executive director of Covering Climate Now, described public interest in climate change stories across the country. YPCCC Director Anthony Leiserowitz moderated the conversation, with time for Q&A.
