Judges of the Covering Climate Now Journalism Awards

We extend a special thanks to the international panel of journalists who helped launch our first annual climate journalism awards.

The first annual Covering Climate Now Journalism Awards honored exemplary coverage of the defining story of our time.

A jury of distinguished journalists came together to review nearly 600 entries from journalists and media entities in 38 countries. They selected winning entries in print, digital, audio, video, and multimedia formats that are rooted in science, humanize the climate story, and hold power to account.

Covering Climate Now and Columbia Journalism Review launched the awards to celebrate journalism that provides a model for journalists everywhere as newsrooms increase their coverage of the climate crisis. Learn more about the awards, view the finalists and get streaming information here.
